Kevin N. Perkey is a member of the firm who is a trusted advisor to clients across many different industries. Kevin provides his clients with sound advice and innovation solutions on a wide variety of matters including mergers and other acquisitions and dispositions, tax planning, contract negotiation, business entity formation, business succession planning, general corporate and transactional law, and estate planning. When clients have issues outside Kevin’s expertise, he connects his clients with other Woolf McClane attorneys who possess the right skill set for the particular situation. Kevin practices in our Knoxville, Sevierville and Morristown offices.
Kevin graduated magna cum laude from Carson-Newman College in 1997 with a B.S. in accounting. He obtained his J.D., with highest honors, from The University of Tennessee College of Law in 2000. While at the College of Law, Kevin was named to the Order of the Coif and served as a Staff Editor for The Tennessee Law Review, as well as Editor of articles and essays for Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law. Following his graduation from law school, Kevin obtained his LL.M. in taxation from the University of Florida in 2001 where he served as a Graduate Editor of the Florida Tax Review.
Kevin was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. He currently resides in Knoxville with his wife and two children. Kevin is a deacon at Grace Baptist Church and previously served as Chairman of the School Board at Grace Christian Academy. Kevin is a Past President and serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains. In his time away from the office, Kevin enjoys participating in sporting clays and skeet shooting and watching his children play sports.
