Robert P. Noell

Member

Robert Noell is a member of the firm and his primary area of practice is construction law. Mr. Noell has extensive experience in representing owners/developers, general contractors, subcontractors and specialty contractors in the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, and the preparation and resolution of contract and lien claims. His clients are engaged in commercial, industrial, institutional, and high-end residential projects. Mr. Noell has an AV Rating by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America© in construction law. He has repeatedly been selected as a “Top Attorney” in Knoxville in construction law by Cityview magazine. He served as an Adjunct Professor in The University of Tennessee Construction Science Program, where he taught construction law for several years. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association panel of construction arbitrators and is listed as a Rule 31 civil mediator by the Tennessee Supreme Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission.

Mr. Noell was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University, a M.S. from the University of Memphis and a J.D. from The University of Tennessee College of Law. He is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the Forum on the Construction Industry of the American Bar Association, the Associated General Contractors (where he has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Knoxville Branch), and the Associated Builders and Contractors. Mr. Noell is a founding member of the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel and has served as its President.
